With the new release of this Flash wrapper, up-to-date Flash support for eComStation is provided.

Currently the included version is Flash Player 11.5.502.135.

This version of the Flash Plugin Wrapper for eComStation is considerd GA quality and will enable you to use websites implementing the latest Flash content.

Changes compared to beta 2 are:

• Bump wrapper version to 0.4.0 GA.
• Add support for cross-scripting (calling Flash ActionScript from container's JavaScript and vice versa, tickets #8, #34, #69 and many more). This makes many modern Flash sites work.
• Bump reported Flash version to 11.5 r502.
• Many Flash Plugin Warpper specific fixes are present in Odin 0.8.6 and 0.8.7, please see the changelog file of Odin.

This version is considered to be a GA release, please upgrade if possible.

Notes:

• This code should not be used on production systems. See the readme.txt document for details.
• This release requires eComStation 1.2, 1.2R, 2.0GA or eComStation 2.1GA.

I have just placed a new version of Uniaud on http://svn.netlabs.org/uniaud

Uniaud32 is version 2.02.01 and is updated to ALSA version 1.0.24.

The port of ALSA 1.0.24 was done by Paul Smedley so he gets all the credit. I just cleaned up some build issues, built it and released it.

This version of Uniaud32 has only had very minimal testing so use with caution and backup first.

Uniaud16 is version 1.09.06 and is updated to include support for ACPI style suspend/resume.

Panorama VESA 2012 (preview) - значительное обновление

В новой версии реализовано правильное программирование MTRR регистров, и программирование PAT, если нет MTRR. Это важно для пользователей Intel Core i3/i5/i7.

Позже изменения Panorama VESA будут продублированы в SNAP, таким образом SNAP заработает на SMP компьютерах.

Panorama is slower then SNAP, but since the PMSHELL is such a lightwheight shell a proper tuned VESA driver can get you VERY far in terms of performance. The newly published Panorama drivers proves that. Many many systems that where slow with Panorama are now MUCH more responsive!

Right now for eCS 2.2 SNAP is not a topic for us to focus on with our development team. We have the code and will return to this topic after the release of eCS 2.2. We hope to release this beta version in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

SNAP has exactly the same problems with slow performance on some systems as Panorama had. the so called MTRR registers where setup incorrectly and on some SMP systems that can also lead to problems. On top of that there is code in SNAP that scans the PCI bus looking for video card. This code is broken on at least on test sytsem in the test lab at work. Also some TRAP's occur we need to go back and fix does.

The changes in Panorama will be merged in time into SNAP so we fix the slow video performance as wel. The whole point is that SNAP at this moment is time is not very usefull until we have the MTRR/PAT stuff sorted out. That with Panorama is now done! There might still be issue's with this newly updated video drivers but most feedback is very good!

David Azarewicz writes:

Roderick wanted me to release a new Panorama driver sooner rather than later. However, there are still numerous administrative issues that need to be resolved before I can release an official version. Therefore I have made available a "preview" version which you can download and try out.

Since a Panorama section of the BetaZone does not exist yet, I have temporarily uploaded the preview Panorama driver to the ACPI section since that is the only place where I have write permission. This is not the correct place for the Panorama driver and it will be moved when a Panorama section is created.

You can download this preview version from your Software Subscription Services at the Mensys website. Log in to Mensys with your Mensys login id and click the Downloads link. Click the "Software Subscription Services for eComStation" Download link and find the ACPI section. The Panorama driver should be listed there until it is moved to its correct location.

You cannot report problems with this preview version. This is a preview version. Also, the ticketing system for Panorama is not setup yet and it will take me some time to do so. You must wait for a new announcement regarding a new Panorama version and/or an announcement regarding the ability to report problems. I will not respond to problem reports via e-mail.

People can't imagine what do they miss, it's necessary invite more people, so they get more impressions from the conference. Of course, the visitor can decline the invitation. [this is important for communication among people]
