Gene Alexander 2007-07-10 02:17:28 | Downloaded and patched the driver. It loads on boot but the eCS DHCP client just times out and never pulls an address. Putting in a static address appears not to work either. So far it is not working for me. |
Gene Alexander 2007-07-10 03:32:54 | Ok, the model I have is a Linksys EG1032 v3 NIC which uses the Realtek RTL8169S-32 chipset.
I was able to get it working from a Mandriva One 2007.1 Linux CD boot by 'modprobe' loading the Linux Realtek r8169 driver by hand (this was not auto-detected). So, the card works under Linux with this driver. Now to see if I can figure out how to get it to work under eCS 1.2MR. |
Gene Alexander 2007-07-10 22:15:25 | Apparently this NIC will not work with GENMAC 200. Installed GENMAC 200, picked the Rtl 8169 Gigabit, rebooted and the card was not found. Going to send the information to the GENMAC project to see about getting it working. |
